Heide Bennett brings years of hospitality expertise to her role as Event Specialist at The Matterhorn, having worn many hats within Navarre Hospitality Group—from server and bartender to catering manager. Before joining the world of events, Heide held an unexpected and memorable role selling commercial plumbing with Mid-City Supply, proving her adaptability and talent for building strong professional relationships in any field.
Heide is most proud of the meaningful connections she’s formed with clients, many of whom have grown into long-term clients. Outside of work, she dedicates her time to volunteering with the Humane Society of Elkhart County.

James Baxter has been a cornerstone of Navarre Hospitality Group since 2012, bringing with him over 18 years of culinary experience. As Executive Chef, James leads a talented team of chefs across our venues and offsite catering operations. His leadership, precision, and passion for food have made him an indispensable force behind the hundreds of events we execute each year.
James is not only a master in the kitchen but also a dedicated family man. He is married to his wife, Rachel, and together they have three children. When he's not crafting menus or mentoring his team, you can find James on the golf course, enjoying a rare moment of downtime.
